As of March 1st, 2022 the Government of Ontario and NEBs Fun World will not require Proof of Vaccination for this event.

As per Government guidelines, masks are not required during this event, however you are encouraged to wear a mask if you wish to do so. Players will be assigned a lane and will play all 6 games with the same bowlers on their paid of lanes. Bowlers will be moving lanes after each game and alternating lanes during the game. Capacity limits have been removed allowing spectators as well. Please refer to our Safety procedures and Tournament Protocol for more information, located on our FORMS page of this website.


TOURNAMENT FORMAT:

IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT ALL TEAMS SHALL CONSIST OF A MASTER BOWLER (AFFILIATED OR UNAFFILIATED) FROM THE SAME BOWING CENTRE. IF THERE IS A SHORTAGE OF YBC SENIORS, THEN THE PROCESS FOR SELECTION WITHIN THE ZONE AND THEN IF NO ONE IF AVAILABLE/INTERESTED, FROM ANOTHER ZONE.

A six (6) game qualifying round using a “Scotch Doubles” format, that is, the Master Bowler and their YBC Senior partner bowl alternate frames. Following the qualifying round, teams by descending score, will be slotted into Scratch and Pins-Over-average (POA) sections. Team standings after the qualifying round will determine if they compete in POA or Scratch categories based on their ranking in each. If a team is ranked higher in POA than Scratch they will compete in the POA single knock-out. Teams that tie in rankings will be placed in the Scratch category. Once the rankings have been done, the top thirty-two (32) POA and thirty-two (32) Scratch teams (may vary depending on entries) will move to a single knock-out Match Play round until a winner is determined. Six (6) games per team are guaranteed.

Dress Code:

The dress code for all Master Bowlers at this event will be the MBAO golf shirt and black dress pants/shorts and/or skirts/skorts/capris for the ladies. The MBAO Official Uniform Shirt is optional and is also allowed.

The dress code for all YBC Seniors at this event will be your YBC identified shirt, or a shirt with a collar and black dress pants/shorts and/or skirts/skorts/capris for the ladies. YOGA pant are NOT ALLOWED at an MBAO event.
